A thread to discuss cookery and all the gadgets that none of us need but have to buy! I keep thinking about a Ninja foodie - do I really need it? My larder is already full of unused equipment

I made a lasagne today, with veggie mince. It was really nice, the best one I’ve made in fact, which was good because my mum came for dinner. Also made JO’s £1 wonder no churn ice cream with mint aero chunks. Wasn’t holding out much hope after the cauliflower spaghetti fail, but it was lovely, and I’m not usually a big fan of ice cream. And it was probably the quickest and easiest thing I’ve ever made. Win win!

It feels like a Christmas fridge of leftovers today - though they will be gone after tonight and my leftovers lunch for work tomorrow. Then the rest of the gammon will get used in one of our favourite teas on Wednesday night which is "pasta and creamy sauce" - so basically a white sauce with garlic, mushrooms and the gammon.

It also feels like Christmas because there is still washing up to do :ROFLMAO:

My friend came round so I made pasta with tomato sauce, chicken, mushroom, onion, with cheese on top. And garlic bread. I didn't eat the mushroom or onion, obviously, but the pasta was OK. Friend has taken the rest for tomorrow, so it must have been alright!

Small emergency when I tried to saw my finger off with the bread knife. Friend had to put a plaster on my finger while I lay on the kitchen floor! Oops.

Well done @Jaf I think you're becoming more adventurous you know :) I love it.

We had spaghetti and meatballs, with the worlds most basic sauce (a tin of chopped tomatoes, salt and a good sprinkle of Italian seasoning)...somehow it's delicious.

I bought a lamb roast to try over Easter and never cooked it. I needed to cook it so put it in the air fryer today. Now I haven’t eaten roast lamb or pork for about 30 years (lamb because they are well lambs and pork because Mum cooked it so often I started to feel sick with the smell).

I can’t eat it. The smell of it cooking has made me feel really sick. I have put it in the fridge and will give it to Mr HB or the chickens tomorrow. At least I tried but somehow my brain won’t let me do it lol!

Oooh nice :) Though the mash looks a bit gloopy...!

@BarneyBobCat have fun in The Smoke. Husband goes to London on Wednesday to collect his marathon number, then on Sunday to run around it for a bit!

As for lamb. I love it, it's my favourite and the Oscar boy was partial to a lamb chop too ;)
