    Candy, Staffie, DOB 03

Her Story: Candy is an older little lady maybe 6-7 years old who came from being found stray and unclaimed. She has had pups in her past life. She is in good health and we have now spayed & chipped her and she had a full dental with several teeth removed.

Homing Requirements: Candy is an easy dog on all accounts. She needs her family NOW! as it is so sad to see her suffer in kennels. We are unsure how she will be being left as she is stressed in kennels ....so are really looking for a companionship home with someone around most of the time. Secure garden. Visiting children and well behaved live in children could be an option as her energy is receptive and is not highly excitable.

Advert YOU have got to love this one!!! Candy is sweetness and joy. She is guaranteed to keep a smile on your face and upon meeting her new owners will be in love with her 'til death do us part'. She would suit someone who works from home and needs an excuse to have a walk rather than raid the fridge. She would suit a first time dog owning family who are mature and well thought out and want to help a Staffie in need. In fact, she would suit most combinations other than multiple pet households or very young children mauling her too much. Respectful children yes she will love- this is what she is!

Candy is a little Staffie, walks nicely on the lead at a nice pace, meets people with great warmth and dogs just fine. She enjoys her walks, but doesn't enjoy kennels ... so ideally not for kennelling whilst you enjoy warmer climes. Pretty and true hearted ... that's our gal!

Please visit Candy's individual thread, in Dogs needing homes in Kennels on our Forum http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/about3145.html to find out more about her and follow her progress.

If you are interested in re-homing please complete our homing questionnaire https://rescueremedies.wufoo.com/forms/r7x3s5/ so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.

”Please note that this dog is currently in kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".

Candy won a new fosterer's heart today after a lovely walk ..she travelled excitedly back in the car and promptly began to make her foster home her very own ...

Surprised this little lady hasn't been snapped up..she is about 6 years old, but don't let her age deter you. She is small so will hopefully be longer lived..and she will give you such love and fun.

Candy is still looking for her forever home!

    An update from Candy's fosterers:

"Candy has just spent a week with us on a boat on the Norfolk broads. She was such a lot of fun. What laughs we had!

She was a little uncertain of the water initially, but was soon content enough to sit on the captain's seat and enjoy the wind in her hair. She was the star dog of the broads, everyone cooing and arhing over her, sporting a bright yellow life jacket...we were so proud. As always, she behaved well on a short lead in pubs, and was very keen on receiving belly tickles from all.

She was nonplused about meeting sheep, cows, ducks. As we have no pets ourselves I am not sure if she will get on with other family pets. She has on occassion growled at other dogs and seems to be wanting attention spent on her and not on any other dogs. A while ago she found a dead chick in the garden and was surprisingly very maternal and ever so gentle with it.

Candy was so happy to come back home, she circled the garden at full speed. She loves the freedom of being off the lead.

She has such a wonderful temperament that I am sure has come from a good home.

For the while she is happy to be back at home, chasing squirrels and going out for her regular walks. We will be so happy to help Candy find her forever home.
