my cat has just had kittens she has had three altogether, she had 2 straight away then there was a 2 hr gap between the last and the third her stomach is still hard and she is still losing, but she has had nothing from her last baby which was at 3pm, and nothing else and its 21.40 now that means she has not had anything for 7hrs. if there is a baby still inside her will she still give birth to it dead or alive? we all have witnessed movements. Or could she have conceived at another time and she has got another seperate pregnancy? is that possible? hope someone can reply before tommorow, really need fast advice on this or is it a vet job?

It's possible for queens to deliver kittens 24 hours after. I've heard of queens delivering kittens after a week!
Has she been pushing? If she pushes for an hour and nothing comes out that's an emergency and you need to get her to the vet.
Otherwise just leave her to it. I find the ones that come after a large gap are usually stillborn - but I've not had that many litters - perhaps that was just my bad luck.
If there's nothing by tomorrow morning take her into the vets.

It is possible that she doesn't have anymore inside her and you've just seen organs moving about.

Is that possible? Has she tucked herself up with her babies thinking it's all over?

savannah is right once a cat has finished giving birth they can have "contractions" for upto one hour or so this is when the womb etc is contracting back to size and this can appear like there are kittens still moving around , also if you see that she is happy feeding the kittens you may find thats it, but if not sure take her to the vets tomorrow for a check up and to see if she has retained any ?

i am not a vet so if in doubt consult you vet :) this is just my oppinion ( from reading books etc )
