Effipro Spot On Flea Treatment from Vet UK: For Healthy Happy Pets

if you look at this website there seems to be a type for cats, then another type for small dogs. As the small dog one is for dogs up to 10 kilos, I would be very worried it would be way too much for an average sized cat (<5 kilo).

I would phone you vet and ask him/her what it is you actually have.

I would only put a drop on rather than the full thing.

Effipro Spot-On Solution for Medium Dogs 10-20kg - 1.34ml x 24
A New product from Virbac: Effipro - contains the same active ingredient as 'The' leading Flea treatment program, just cheaper! Spot-on solution containing 100mg/mL fipronil presented in plastic pipettes, each containing 0.67mL (67mg fipronil), 1.34mL (134mg fipronil), 2.68mL (268mg fipronil), 4.02ml (402mg fipronil).

Effipro Spot-On Solution for Medium Dogs 10-20kg - 1.34ml x 24 - Vetmedsdirect.co.uk

judging by this, the 67mg is the small dog size, for dogs 10 to 20 kilos.

I would not put that on my cat.

I do know people who use dog flea treatments on cats (they just divide one pipette between 3 or 4 or 5 cats). But many cats also get OD-ed on flea treatments, so I personally wouldn’t do it unless I was 100% sure of the dosages per weight ratio).
