There's an advertisment in our local newspaper for a companion dog show in our town. I've tried to find out as much as I can on the internet going on the kennel club website ect. and am still confused as to wether cross breds can take part.:eek:ut: As some shows have novelty classes but there's nothing in this add regarding classes or any contact details. We both love shows and it does Lucky alot of good being out and about with other dogs. Please Help :cursing::idea:

Usually there will be a fun section at companion dog shows.

The rules are that there shouldn't be any more than 4 pedigree classes but I've been to a couple where there have been more than that
This is accompanied by 'fun' classes which are open to all dogs, cross breeds included. Typical categories could be prettiest bitch, most handsome dog, kindest eyes, best short coat, best long coat, waggiest tail, best party trick etc

I'm sure you'll really enjoy it if you go and as soon as you get home afterwards you'll be looking for the next one :wink5: they're addictive :blushing:

There are no restrictions on the number of pedigree classes at companion shows. You can even have upto 2 classes for a single breed.

Some shows seem to ignore the crossbreeds and don't have a class just for them. At our show we always get lots of non-pedigrees, so this year we have split the class dog/bitch :)
