She is beautiful! Maybe the person you got her from could shed some light for you? Or the vet???

Very pretty but without proper information on the kitten's parents i.e. their pedigree, you will never know what breed she is.
Moggies come in all colours :)

I *think* blue is a recessive gene so both parents also have to be blue. Or it is actually dilute black, and both parents have to have the dilute? This makes them less common than, say, tabbies. I'm sure someone who knows about breeding/genetics will be along to explain better!

The parents don't have to be blue at all, they just have to both carry the recessive dilute gene. The kittens who get 2 copies, one from each parent, of this dilute gene, will be blue whereas they would've been black.

Is she hissing at anything in particular? They usually hiss if startled or warning something to keep back?

No, both parent have to have a blue gene but they don't have to be blue - so two black cats who both carry a recessive blue gene can very easily make a blue baby. To be blue you just need a blue gene from each parent. YOu need two copies of blue to be blue.

This cat is a gorgeous moggy - it is very likely that her tabby markings are ghost markings and will fade out as she grows (she's not a proper genetic tabby) this is normal in kittens. As you donb't know who her mum and dad are you can't tell what breed she is - knowing a breed is all about proof and you have none - however, she is a very, very gorgeous girl.

aww shes very pretty, years ago we took in a long haired tabby grey/silver colour girl who shortly after gave birth to 5 blue/grey colour kittens, sadly one died at birth, but we found lovely homes for the remaining kittens, and got the mum neutured,:)
