Can a dog tell the difference betweena puppy and a kitten?

    A friends dog had their kitten in his mouth, and their worried he would do the same to puppies, or can he tell the difference??

    Im pretty sure they can.

    If this dog does things like this, it should never be left unsupervised with either puppies or kittens.

    Our cats had kittens when I was a baby (don't have cats anymore) but one of our poodles used to mothers them. They weren't left alone together but I think he knew the difference. The cats thought they were dogs though they always went walks with them!
