    Ok my Mum is getting a new wine colour carpet for the living room and her venitian blinds are the same colour...what colour should she paint the walls? She has asked me and I have NO idea but nothing too brash or bold she is 60 and old fashioned! Lol Oh and she says no white!
    All help gratefully received

    Definetly cream, white would be ok but cream will soften the room white wouldnt.

    In my best room (no dogs allowed!!) we have a deep red carpet(bit like a wine colour)on the walls a butterscotch colour,with deep red and gold curtains.Its my comfy room got a huge sofa in there and its where i escape from everyone in house!! :)

    My choice too, until 18 months ago i had a wine colour carpet and 2 cream walls and 2 walls with cedar wood.:D:D

    Anything!! Just not the Dreaded Magnolia!! OMG how much do i hate that colour!!!!

    A shade of white or cream i think, maybe add gold hints in the soft furnishings?

    I'd go for a tan colour or something gold. For me creams/whites aren't very exciting. I'm quite bold, helped do boyf's parents kitchen, its a white (eek) feature wall, then a deep purple with black work surfaces/light switches etc.

    Thanks guys, it's all I could really see fitting in as well. White would be too bright but I think a shade of cream would be nice.
