It was only yesterday i mentioned to my OH that ive seen LOADS more!! and Jazzy loves to play with them in the garden then eat them lol
Not actually noticed myself but did just see a beautiful peacock butterfly in the garden - which Lucky then decided to try & hunt. It flew away pretty quickly when i spotted her & started shouting "No!".
mmmmmm i've seen 1 this year which is unusual they usually like the tree we have.
I love butterflies, my mum has a tree that attracts them(dunno what its called) and she has had loads .
is it like this claire? if so its common name is the butterfly bush.
It is exactly like that Jan, its really big too, on a nice hot day they are coming and going all day. She also has Pasion flower which they seem to like too
Hahahahahahahahaha a Cabbage White has just flown past.
haha we want pics.
sorry he went straight past the front room window if any settle on the tree i'll try and grab some.
Yep seems to be loads around at the mo, we keep disturbing them as we walk through the fields Arnie doesnt even bother trying to catch them now
The Butterfly bush's actual name is Buddela. They do tend to get rather large, but can be grown in pots.
Many of the butterflies we see in our gardens have migrated from other countries. Astonishing really when you think how delicate that are.

I have not seen many Butterflies so far this year, but what is worrying me is the lack of Bumble Bees around we have a bed of lavender normally covered with them, but this year the most I've seen at any one time is two we have put other plants in to attract them but they just don't seem to be a round.
I've seen loads of white ones around! More so than normal.
I seen hardly any thank god!
