Not actually noticed myself but did just see a beautiful peacock butterfly in the garden - which Lucky then decided to try & hunt. It flew away pretty quickly when i spotted her & started shouting "No!".

The Butterfly bush's actual name is Buddela. They do tend to get rather large, but can be grown in pots.

Many of the butterflies we see in our gardens have migrated from other countries. Astonishing really when you think how delicate that are.

I have not seen many Butterflies so far this year, but what is worrying me is the lack of Bumble Bees around we have a bed of lavender normally covered with them, but this year the most I've seen at any one time is two we have put other plants in to attract them but they just don't seem to be a round. :(
