I've been using filtabac cream for a month as advised by the vet yet I am not sure if it is doing anything as underneath the tail is still red and matted in some areas
I'm told it's common and to do with yeast but it isn't yet a infection

Go back to the vet … they may need to try something else.

If it is because of yeast, yeast feeds on sugars so you might want to see if you can find a food lower in carbohydrates.
