Ok so i'm sick of looking at all the wonderful cat trees you can buy and not being able to afford one so I was thinking about making one myself. I can put it all together fine, i'm quite handy :D I just have absolutely NO idea where to get the wood from.

Has anyone made their own before? If so what did you use and where from?

    Yes I am crazy :eek:ut:

    Hi
My dad made one for us a few years back and got the wood from Ridgeons. I think it was plywood but whatever you use you will need to make sure its the non-splintering kind and untreated. He then covered it in thin carpet and used rope for the posts so they could scratch it. I am sure if you ask in Ridgeons or whereever you go they will know what kind you should use. HTH
