    Hiya,

Just a quick message to see if anyone knows a breeder I can trust?

I am after a king cavalier spaniel, preferably a blenheim bitch. Went to view a puppy today and had the worst experience (couldn’t provide evidence of any paperwork promised, puppy wet and unclean, mother only seen at a push and environment really not ideal with several other dogs of other breeds also in the house - also asked me no questions?!)

Looking for a responsible breeder, KC registered puppies with available relevant health checks -any push in the right direction would be appreciated at this point and after today :( I live in the Hertfordshire area.

Have you checked out the Champdogs website?

Well done for walking away from this scenario.
Lots of people would have bought a puppy out of pity, and this is how these awful breeders keep going.

Try the Kennel Club website for lists of breeders and litters/ litters due.

That is awful, well done for walking away. Recipe for disaster as it means the breeder is happy to lie that they have paperwork when they don't.

I would go via the Kennel Club as has been suggested as they do have puppies listed. As do Champdogs which tends to have only Health Tested parents. Have a look at the CKC Breed Clubs too and maybe give your local area rep a call.
