Just back from a stunning walk around Bolam Lake...if you live in Northumberland/Newcastle area it is a must. A stunning area, really is. We were the only ones there this morning, got some lovely photos too.

The beautiful view, ahhh I think it's the Cheviot's right at the back.

Two signets who had a heck of a swim to get to use, they were whistling away and paddling bless them

The mummy swan, chased off 15 other swans just so her signet's could get some food!

Hehe, well I did forget mine but my grandma has a fantastic camera which I bought her the last time I was in Jersey (prices seem much cheaper in the Channel Islands...) and I had fun with it and she was always like 'You'll seriously have to show me how to use this properly' :001_tt2: Have about 70 odd photos but obviously can't put them all up here
I enjoy taking photos if you haven't gathered from these and the Christening ones etc

I love taking photos too....as long as no-one takes any of me! :D

I'm always taking pics of Harvey and Pippa and love doing macro shots of flowers, insects etc - but usually in my house or garden :D

Yes was very please she was enjoying it as she was acting a bit off with my grandma since she'd been at a friend's for 14 days while my aunty was over with her little son staying at my grandma's since she can get a bit unsure and last time he was over she had a little go at him...
But she seems more herself again...thankfully.

We are truly blessed living in such a green and leafy area. The Northumberland countryside is second to none, and there are some v nice coffee shops about, with outside seating areas for you and the dogs

No, its the other way past Bolam lake, its called the stable coffee shop, its about 500 yds up the road past the lake, there s a post box set in the wall the gate is just after that.Think the road leads to Scots Gap
They do some lovely cake in there and friendly too.
We arent blessed with coffee shops at Plessey woods or Humford woods.
But I know my dad visits loads of them when hes bored and driving around Ponteland etc, nowt else to do in his retirement.:eek:ut:
