The MRI showed a bulging disc in his neck, he is having surgery this afternoon. It will be performed by the same surgeon who operated on Reena almost 6 years ago which we are very pleased about. She was delighted to see Reena and hear of her progress !
So Bobby will probably stay in until the weekend.

For the first time ever he woke me at 3am, I took him downstairs and he had a big drink and little wee then went back to sleep untl the alarm went.

Oh Bobby! Surgery today?! That didn't give you much time to prepare did it?
But at least it's a vet you're comfortable with.
Best wishes for a successful surgery and uneventful recovery! And lots of don't stress vibes to you!

Go go Bobby, you are going to sail through this surgery.

Hugs to @SusieRainbow as I know you will be worried sick, same goes for OH who won't have his shadow by him.

Oh poor Bobby, but he will feel so much better afterwards.

Keeping him until the weekend sounds such a long time, but it’s for the best.

Sending hugs. Good that it's being dealt with so quickly but that must have come as a bit of shock. Paws crossed that all goes well and Bobby is home with you soon xx

Not the best news, but reassuring they felt an op was worth doing.

Hope he isn’t too upset by it all and recovers fast and well.

    Further Update.
Bobby has had his operation with no complications and the Surgeon is happy with him. We will get a further update tomorrow and probably fetch him on Saturday.
    Phew!!!

That’s a relief. It must be a huge weight off your mind. :)
