My friend in France has just rang to say that her very old cat is being irritated by blue bottle type flies. I think that they are biting him poor thing!
From what she tells me the weather is very hot and her cat has a few patches of bald skin, also knots knots in his fur.
She doesn't want him to have anesthetic to shave him as he is old.
The vet has given her something to put on his coat but it has no effect.
    Has anybody any ideas?
Someone in my family has suggested liquid skin but I am not sure you can put that on a cat.
Any suggestion will be great as I want to ring her back later.
