Birthday Cake

Discussion in 'General Chat' started by Deleted member 1512246, Dec 18, 2020.

  1. On Wednesday I started making a birthday cake. The recipe said to put all the ingredients into two cake tins (this is one of the tins below and I ended up not using the blue icing sugar) IMG_20201216_125043999.jpg

Then after 50 minutes the top and bottom layers of the cake was cooked. IMG_20201216_142940380.jpg

Then yesterday morning I made the butter cream

The cake then looked like this

I left it in the fridge for 4 hours to harden and then presented it to a friend for my friend's birthday and everyone said it tasted yummy.

I was well chuffed at making my first birthday cake for someone.

This is all that is left IMG_20201218_213003974.jpg

Looks good and thanks for sharing the cake with us on here - if only.

Honestly though keep it up and do a few more. Great fun as you do not need an "event" to make cakes.
