As if it's not enough that Bingo barks NON STOP at all my guinea pigs and rabbits but today we went to the beach and he barked at EVERY SINGLE dog we came accross - am I doing something wrong??

We start puppy socialisation classes tomorrow, I'm really hoping this will help??

Pheonix (age 7) is a major barker too although she only barks at other dogs from a distance, up close she just has a sniff!

Today in the park she didn't stop and actually she's loosing her voice.

We're going to book onto an 8 week course (£70) just to get some basic advice and tips for this.

Because she's been barking at birds, bees, leaves in the garden, we're putting it down mainly to her settling in and claiming her patch. We've only had her just over a week.

She never barks in the house or when left.

The RSPCA said she does kind of like barking though, haha. Oh dear.

Good luck at puppy classes :)

Bingo did really well at puppy class and I soon gave up on the constant treats because he was doing what I asked when I asked without them - which amazed me and the trainer!

BUT when we first arrived he just stood in the middle of the class and barked NON STOP for about 10 minutes, it was deafening - I was embarassed but the trainer told me to just ignore it completley.

Which was very hard - after a while he gave up but I'm really wanting to know how to stop him in the first place? I don't mind the bark because I know dogs bark, it's just the on going excessive barking I can't take
