Our chocolate Labrador is moulting and her back end is looking a bit scraggy- a bit like a sheep that needs shearing! We have a Kong rubber curry comb type brush but it doesn’t seem very effective- any other suggestions as to what brush to use? I think it’s the under coat that’s coming out. Thanks.

Metal combs/ undercoat rakes/ slickers are better for getting out undercoat - as you've found often rubber curry combs/ Kong Zoom Grooms often only really get guard hairs.

Thanks- can you recommend any specific brands I can search for? Would a furminator brush fall into that category?

I've been using a Groomi. It's pretty incredible!
