    Hi does anyone know anyone who captive breeds res in the UK I'm wanting to get some iv been a turtle owner for over 35 years

    Res = red eared slider . A slider is a turtle

    Ye i know the reds are banned from being in ported since the 1990s was just wanti g to know if there anyone breeding in UK instead of buying my next one from a pet shop got a hatchling res 2 years ago I think that it could be a yellow belly cross cause has the red stripe on side of head and the yellow s stripe too

    The species should be banned from breeding and sale in the UK as it’s an invasive species. Not sure where you’re finding them but I’m pretty sure you shouldn’t be able to buy them at all. In pet shops or from breeders
