How do baby birds get down from a high nest, I'm curious because one of my nests is so high up and I'm worried about them falling off.

They usually fly down. They don't usually leave the nest until their fully fledge and if they fall out before hand they normally die or get killed by predators.
If you talking about ducklings, then they just throw themselves from the nest usually over water. If not over water they bounce pretty well when hitting the ground and most survive.
