Last night my mum had to keep getting up to Bailey.
Bailey started crying and she didn't know what was wrong with him, in the end he settled with my mum on her bed for a couple of hours. Then at about half 3 he woke up and was making lots of noise so made him go back to his own bed, but kept crying, in the end he settled down.

Now, when my mum went down to him this morning, she has noticed his nose is really swollen and seems to have a gash on the left hand side of it. We haven't a clue what it is, but it is possible this was what was bothering him last night.

It doesn't seem to be causing him any problems at the minute, but I don't want it to get worse. Would it be a good idea to take him to the vets? What could they do for it? If anything.

I know it sounds bad questioning it, but as the vet doesn't open for another hour and a half, I thought I'd come on here and see if I could get any advice.

    Thanks in advance.

Well I guess you should if that is what you think was bothering him so much during the night because it might as well keep on bothering through more nights
Just take a trip to the vets to be sure everything is a-okay really.
    That's what I say anyway haha x

    Thanks Christine.

I have to say, I did have a giggle, cos it makes his face look so funny, but then I had to be serious in case it's bothering him.

I woke badger up this morning laughing at her, she was flat on her back, snoring and being a cocker the ear's made her look like a gremlin:D. let us no how you get on at the vet's.

    Thanks rona.

Well that's what I don't get, cos now me and my mum are both up, he hasn't cried and he's not bothered by it at all, but through the night he really didn't want to be alone downstairs.

Maybe it's not his nose that is bothering him.
Has he been to toilet this morning and what does it look like?

    No he hasn't yet.
He sometimes goes just after his walk if he hasn't done it before hand.
And I'll be taking him soon.

Yeah I think this is a possibility, Bailey also tries to chase them, so I wouldn't be surprised if he has.

Well we didn't take Bailey to the vets.

We waited for a while as my mum had to go to the doctors.

By the time she came home, the swelling had gone down.

His poo looks normal, he seems back to himself.

But will keep a close eye on him.
