We just had our first snow so they're all gone, but I took these earlier. It was a banner year for fungi with all the rain we got this summer. Would love to take a class.

Stunning photos and such a variety!

I took my camera with me to the woods a few days ago with the intent of getting some fungi snaps but I was hard pressed to find any.. just got this snap..

What amazing photos. I am amazed at the abundance of fungi this year.
These are just a couple I took on my phone and then the battery went flat. But along one very short path we counted 8 varities. I so wish I had managed to photograph one, it looked like a cross between a cauliflower and a sponge.

My new camera [that i've not really been able to use due to being so ill over the summer] broke last Friday on the first morning of our long weekend at Glenmore near Aviemore.....gutted doesn't even come close. So with all the amazing colours etc, i only got a few pic with my phone. Thankfully it is a sony phone and has a great camera.

Any way, came back and had to use my old panasonic....got this then

Spotted this a couple of weeks ago and apparently its a pestle puffball. Had never seen one before but now they are sprouting up left right and centre near where I live. Nature is so amazing.
