I'm trying to post photos to a thread from Flickr. However the photos are tiny. Doesn't matter if I change the photo size on flickr, on here when I preview the post the images are thumb nail size. I'm assuming this is something to do with the update, but any advise would be much appreciated.
That's really useful post.well done
Hmm last week I could upload a file (pic) from my phone directly in the post. A fab option rather than uploading to photo bucket then pate link etc.
Today I can't, it size file limit exceeded. File to large. My pics haven't changed, ive not changed any settings in camera and its from the same bunch of photos I loaded last week? Has anything changed in the upload option such as a limit now?
I don't think I've changed anything, when you try to upload, what is the size limit it says?
9.1mb. Which I think its always been off the top of my head. I'll go look for a pic I did send in a previous thread and see if I can redo.
I can't be 100% sure nothings changed in camera settings but I'm pretty certain it hasnt.
Could it be simply a time out rather than a fail due to size? It sits there attaching for about 90seconds and then the fail message pops up.
Let me go try the pics again.
I find this so much easier on this forum....on the last one it took ages, now you can just click upload a file on the bottom, choose it from your computer and it's done in seconds
This loaded straight away. Its one ive previously posted.
It worked this time, took almost 2 mins but it did it. Maybe its my WiFi? Who knows, I'll let u know if it happens again x
Would it be possible to send the original photo to my email address, it's admin @ petforums.co.uk , I'll have a look and test uploading if myself.
Just tried to load the same picture above in dog chat and I got this again..
Took nearly 3 mins trying to upload before it appeared.
To be fair to Mark, there usually is a limit to the size of photos that can be uploaded to a forum by default, if everyone uploaded photos that hadn't been resized and made a little smaller, he'd soon run out of webspace.
Of those two photos you've uploaded, the first is only 112kb in size, the second is nearly 8MB, no wonder it took a while to upload. It really needs to be resized first and then saved, which you should be able to do on your phone, and then upload it. The original, unedited size of photo is only needed if you were planning to print it out.
The first was a screenshot, I think thats why its so small.
All my photos on phone are as I take them, unless I crop. 8mb, although large is within the upload limit. Which doesn't explain why I get the message its too large. Plus I had uploaded pics the previous few days no problem. I was merely highlighting a problem to them in case something had gone astray or changed. I wasnt implying he needed to make it larger.
I always had a problem with uploading files using my iPad but now it's so easy I'm so pleased
I'll try uploading some 8mb plus photos and see if I have any issues.
Why is it when I post photos there always upside down. Lol ?
Why are my photos upside down lol ? I'm not very good with computers as you can proberly tell.
@Pugnut, did you take them with an iPad? Just reading these replies in another thread (Avatar problem!) and maybe that is why yours are upside down?
The new way to upload directly from ipad / iPhone is great. Using photobucket was becoming frustrating.
Still being uploaded sideways from a android phone.
Its also added copies of my photos and made some thumbnails and some full screen in my last post in health. I only uploaded 3 photos?
Could anyone and everyone go to my profile look at my pic of my dog unsure on Wat breed she may be please comment if u have any ideas??!!!
