The old fashioned (but workable) way to get pictures in your post and round the right way.

Take picture on camera or phone.
Transfer to your pc or laptop and put in a picture file.
(change the name of the photo if you like to something recognisable:
hint - when naming a picture it helps to have hyphens or underscores between words: for example: my-dog.jpg or my_cat.jpg)

At this point you could upload the picture, but is it the right size? Is it the right way round?
If not, then you need to change this.

If you have photo processing software you can do it there, but if not Windows will help you (sorry Apple users!).
Open the file with your picture in it and hover over the photo - this will tell you what size it is. If it is okay, that's fine.
Is the picture the right way around as well? If so, it's ready to go. If not, read on....

To make changes - open the picture in Windows Photo Viewer (or whatever it is called in your version) by double clicking on it.

In Windows Photo Viewer, there are buttons at the bottom of the picture. You can use these to rotate the picture or to edit it.
Clicking on the edit button brings up the Paint program.
In the Paint program click on 'image' and 'attributes' and this will let you alter the size.

When you have edited your picture to how you want it, click on 'save as' and name the picture and save it in your picture folder.
It's now ready to upload to PF.

    Uploading a picture To PF:
In PF, click on 'Photos' and then click on the green 'Add Photos' button on the right.
A screen will open asking you where you want to put the picture.
At this point, if you haven't one already, it's a good idea to open an album here.
Click on the option 'an album'
and then choose 'create an album'
A screen will open asking you to give the album a name, album type, and who you want to view your album.
(this last point, I'm not sure, but think you may have to have your album on public view if you want people other than you to see the pictures in your post).

When you have created your album (or opened an album you had previously),
You will then be able to click on 'Add Photos'.
A small overlay page will open with a 'browse' button.
Click that and browse to your picture in the folder on your laptop.
Click on the picture you want to upload and then click 'open' on your 'file upload' screen.

The picture will quickly arrive at PF (as long as it isn't too large....)

You will then get the chance to name it and, if you like, write a further description.

You then have a picture uploaded to PF that you can use in your posts.
To use it, left click on the picture and it will open full size, on its own page.
Then, right click on the picture and click on 'copy image location'
Paste the image location into notepad if you prefer, to save it for posting later, or you can paste it directly into a post.

    And that's it!

Sounds complicated, but it really isn't (just a long winded explanation ).

We tried to link some pictures from Photobucket to our thread, but it didn't work out. Could someone tell us how to do it?

Sorry to sound so thick, but is there an easier way than the one silvi posted? I'm having trouble following the instructions. I used to able to put pics up a different way before, but being away for so long I've forgotten how I did it.

Try checking your youtube settings. I think it's under video manager, and make sure your video is set to public, or unlisted (where it's only viewable if you share the link). This might be unviewable because you have it set to private.

Thanks you're a star! When I looked the video was on private but since I altered it to public other PF members have said they can now see it.
