If so what sort do you have?
What do you think to them?
Thanks muchas xxx
I got a Kindle for Chrimbo.
I have a Sony one; love it! Easy to use.
Thank you both of you!
Can any of the ebooks go on to any of the devices do you know?
Only I am looking at the Eereader
I've not had a drama buying any ebooks - all have uploaded fine.
I don't, but I do have mobipocket reader on my laptop and the kindle app on my mobile. I have to say I've found them both very useful. Easy to download the books too, and drag and drop them to the program/app. Handy little thing on a mobile, was able to read a book waiting for physio last week without actually carrying a book around.
I have the kindle app on my iPad and think its great... I rarely read an actual book now :001_tongue:
I have a Sony eReader and I love it! I got it for Christmas and I honestly thought I would hate it, thought it would be like reading off of a laptop but wow, it just looks like a page from a book. Brilliant little things
Don't get me wrong I love having copies of my favourite books (I mean, I have 3 different copies of Harry Potter.. just can't stop myself) but I think it's good for the economy in terms of paper use etc, and considering most other books I read once and then they gather dust, it's great for me to save space!
kobo, it's great :smile5:
Kindle here, and love it.
Each device will have a list of formats that it is compatible with. Most books are published in epub - so it's a good idea to make sure it takes this format.
Someone bought me an e-reader for christmas a couple of years ago and i was very excited until i discovered it was only really compatible with books published in txt. It's like having a Betamax video machine just at the point everything went VHS...
I've got a Kobo and I've downloaded ebooks for Kindle that I convert with a click of a mouse and can read any format on the Kobo plus it's cheaper than Kindle
Thank you ALL muchas for your input! it is much appreciated, I am a right twit when it comes to anything that requires electricity!
I have just gone ahead and brought one!
the linky is below - please be honest now and tell me if you think its poopoo then I shall cancel it before it arrives!
Thanks in advance DT
This is it
ZzBook eReader, case and charger - CPR Distribution - National - kgbdeals
That's what I'd have if I decided to buy one. You can watch films on it too. But you can get 'em cheaper than that, on ebay and amazon....my friend paid £30 for hers....
I did look on both ebay and amazon - could not find that brand for less the £100
I have a kindle - infact I have two as my stepson bought me one for christmas as well. Argos wont take it back though so looks like I can read two books at once lol
you SHOULD have advertised it on HERE! I would have brought it!
Never even thought about that lol, still all sealed in the box as well !!!! So awkward to tell him that I already had one bless him
Fair enough. What is it about that brand that's different from others, if you don't mind my asking (not in a sarcastic way I hasten to add), just for future reference for myself......I haven't ruled out getting one, taking the laptop to bed with a hot chocolate isn't always conducive, and the phone screen is rather small......
dunno! when its techno stuff I am blind! and nope! didn't think you were being sarcy! I asked the question as I haven't a clue about the things, the only reason I brought it was because I checked the reviews, and it came out good! and the price! that was a major pull too! May just have brought a pig in a poke for all I know - was relying on you lot to tell me it was OK!
