You'll find that very difficult as kittens should be at least 12 weeks old when they leave their mum and litter mates.

Also "medium long hair" doesn't exist, either you want a long haired variety of a breed, such as a British Longhair rather than a British Shorthair, or, you want a long haired breed such as a Maine Coon, or you want a long hair moggie (DLH). Either way, the colour in those pictures is blue.

The best place to look for kittens is either at a rescue shelter, or, on the breed specific website if you are wanting a pedigree. If you want a pedigree then there are some excellent threads on how to go about it https://www.petforums.co.uk/threads/finding-a-pedigree-cat.447723/ and what the papers should look like https://www.petforums.co.uk/threads/pedigree-papers.454267/

Whichever way you decide to get a kitten, you will have to wait.

Nothing you’ve written was anything I didn’t already know.

And I’ve seen cats with mid length coats so they do exist

I was thinking about getting a nebelung also.

I would love to know what breed the kitten in the photo I have uploaded is?

And you can let the kittens go at 8 weeks. That’s when they stop suckling and eat meat so it’s fine.

And what about the socialisation? Mum teaching kitten the ways of the world?

I think you are being a little rude and very abrupt actually.

There are hundreds of kittens in shelters, I’m sure you will find a grey kitten there.

Kittens learn a lot about how to behave during weeks 8 to 12 from their mum and siblings. You'll end up with a much better adjusted cat by waiting a few more weeks.

The majority of members who post here are all very experienced cat owners and breeders with years of experience between them and whilst they will probably agree that 8 weeks used to be considered acceptable, nowadays we know far more about kittens and their development into well adjusted cats. 12-13 weeks gives a kitten a much better chance to learn the social skills from it's mother that it needs to survive.

It's not your choice @Grey Kitten Wanted, how old the kittens are when they leave their mum and litter mates.

Well I want one at 8 weeks so to get a closer bond with me after all I will be it’s new care taker so to speak and as long as it’s eatig meat it’s all good. Plus technically it’s between 8-12 weeks.

Believe me I will show it plenty of love and adjustment.

Not being rude, I’ll say what I want so those who have nothing relevant to say to my question go away and stop shit stirring you internet warrior!

I asked a simple question hoping to get some help and I got attitude. Tut tut tut

As for the link I didn’t say I wanted a pedigree I wanted a blue mid long haired cat. Perhaps a nebelung but I’m not concerned about papers and pedigrees l.

Anyway I want to go now as got other things I want to do then sit around messaging on this forum.

I’ll do what I was doing before which was a better idea than what has been suggested here.

As for the shelter thing I did look up on the blue cross and rspca but couldn’t find any young kittens or blue long haired ones...
