Got a week of Guide camp coming up soon - a holiday for the girls but not so much for me, my holiday will be going back to work. We are going on a proper holiday to Tenerife at the end of August though.

Whereabouts in Turkey might you be going to?

hehe, if she was going to emmigrate anywhere, she could have picked a worse place to go couldn't she!! ;)

I know I'm lucky - she married an American & lives in Venice which is on the Gulf coast - it's lovely there & the beaches are fab - I go every year for at least three weeks. :001_tt2:

She's got tons of pets from cats & dogs to rats, snakes & tons of parrots, so it can be a bit of a mad house. :eek:hmy: It's great 'cos they've got special dog parks & a dog beach - it's great being able to take them there. :) I've also got an American friend who lives in Orlando & she took me on a road trip to Georgia which was lovely. Do really miss & worry about my babies when I'm away though :(

I know what you mean - I'm going to really miss my two when i am at camp. At least the OH will be looking after them then, but when we go to tenerife they will be in a cattery (my dad calls it prison :(). I got a great little teddy from YourGift's website that has a t-shirt with their picture on so i can take them with me in spirit.

I haven't the heart to put mine in a cattery - sure most catteries are fine, but the guilts would get me!! Apart from that, the cost of boarding five of them  My younger niece comes & stays at my house to "look after" mine - not sure how much "looking after" they get - a brush certainly never goes near them lol  But - they've got company (sort of, hehe), they're fed, watered, litter sorted & they're still in their own house. I do pay (bribe) her to housesit them for me :) Your teddy sounds great!

How could I be so remiss?!! In my own defence, even though I was a member, i wasn't using the forum before I went, lol :blushing:
