    Hey Guys,
Sorry I'm new here but maybe someone might be able to help. Sorry if this isn't allowed!

Right, have a 1 year old Bedlington bitch who hasn't been eating for a few days, hardly drinking too, quite sleepy and constantly cleaning her lady parts. Strange part when she's cleaning herself it's like she has uncontrollable flinches in her back legs. She is weeing a lot more and yesterday had a "sticky/gunky" wee. She is still enjoying going for her walks as normal but not my usual happy pooch in the house.

Hoping it's nothing more than maybe a infection. I have been on the phone to vets but we're not in until Wednesday.

    Many thanks! X

I think I would be really worried about dehydration if she is barely drinking but still weeing. I would be pressing for an earlier appointment - I hope someone else can offer more reassuring advice.

Is your bitch spayed or intact?

She's intact, we were looking to get her spayed this summer.

    How is she now?

Personally if she's still as described and intact female I would be phoning the out of hours vet for advise

Has she had a season yet and, if so, when?

I managed to get an earlier appointment at the vets and took her this morning. She has a UTI! Of all things and her anal glands were a little full.
Vet was very thorough and even did an ultrasound to ensure nothing was going on inside. 7 day course of antibiotics and a recommendation to get her spayed. So she's booked in at the end of the month!

She is literally top of the pops now! Little bugger!

That's brilliant news the vets have seen her sooner. UTIs aren't very comfortable.

Hopefully the antibiotics will help quickly.
