Gosh I'm sorry I missed some posts the first time I read this thread.

Where are you from? I know of a lovely pregnant cat up the road I think the kittens will be tabby and white or just white, I don't know the owner but i see the cat every day I'm sure they will need homes too when they come.

What a horrible man, I hope you write him a letter that says you went out and bought stuff for your new kitten that he sold to someone else.
    Bastard!

Oh no Derby is massively too far, I am in Kent.

But I am pretty sure a lovely kitten will turn up soon needing a nice home and you'll be able to love it for all it's life.

    Good luck.

Have you looked on the Derby RSPCA website? They seemed to be inundated with kittens when I looked late last week

have u tried any other rescues?

i bet they are lots of kittens getting handed in to rescue at the moment - just like puppies!

derby RSPCA have messed a lot of people about, a friend of mine went to get a dog from there, they had a big house and garden, plenty time to spend with the new dog, but got turned down as the RSPCA said they thought they were too young for a dog!! my mate and her other half are in their late 20's
