Last week Harvey had some blood tests to test for allergies (pollen, mites, mould and flea saliva) and thyroid.

We were completely shocked that his allergy test came back completely clear, which is obviously fantastic news.
His thyroid was interpreted as a little on the low side still even though his total T4 was 28.3 and TSH 0.21.

This time I was sure to get a copy of the results, and this is what the Clinical Comments read:
So, he's definitely moving in the right direction. When he was last tested in February his T4 was around 12.

He's starting to look so much better and is even getting little growths of fur back on his chest now. I think the baths are really helping a lot - you might remember we struggled to get him into the bath so we have now been scrubbing him down in the garden using the hose attached to our tap in the kitchen so its nice and warm.

Personality wise, every day he seems to be getting back to his old self. Him and Bruno have started playing which is an awesome site to see. It must be a good 3 or 4 years since they last played together :D

Glad that his seeming a lot better in himself and improving. His test though a lot better then it was isn't showing adequate theraphy. The total T4 4/6 hours post pill from when it was taken should be over 50nmol/L and between that and 70. The TSH too is still to high the TSH should be way down to show adequate dosage. When Nans is in the correct therapeutic range of 50+
for the TT4 her TSH is always down to less then O.10

Have they increased his dose any?

Yes, his dosage has been upped to 3 tablets a day instead of 2, so we are giving 1.5 in the morning and 1.5 in the evening.

How often do you think they should be taking his bloody? In the results it said that he should be tested in 7 - 14 days but previously it has been 6 months, which I thought was normal?

Normally when they first start theraphy its 6 weeks then re-test, you might need to do a few 6 weekly tests until you know the dose is correct and he has stabalised. Once the levels are in the correct therapeutic range and symptoms subside then 6 monthly is fine.

It must be lovely to watch Harvey get back to normal after such a long time :)
