Shameless plug here for an incredibly talented friend....

Matt Cummings is an artist and sculptor living and working in Totnes, Devon UK.
He has been making the most beautiful sculptures for years, specialising in life-sized, stunningly realistic wild animals, birds and fantasy figures... and has until this month had very little of his work available to view online. From dragons to mermaids, owls to otters, lions, tigers and even a panda bear... his menagerie needs to be seen to be believed!

Please check out some of his breath-taking sculptures...

He has a profile gallery on deviantART and a fan page on Facebook, Matt Cummings Sculpture and his brand new website, Sculpturistic.co.uk has literally just hatched and will be officially launched at the end of the month!

Commissions are open and Matt can be contacted here

I'm sure as animal and bird people you will be as blown away Matt's talent as I am! Here's a few examples...

I know! The owls are amazing and have had lots of attention since they first went up on deviantART ... i think its the big cats that get me though... like with the leopard sculpture.. how does he get the movement and power into it! it almost defies the laws of physics - looks like it's just about to leap out of shot :D
i love the way he puts so much detail into the face and then leaves a bit of meash evident on the body so u can tell its hand-crafted... amazing :)

Lol - amazing is the word of the day today! Tell everybody!

I'd love to see his artwork in the flesh so to speak.

Are you in the UK? when the website's up and running we'll be sure to include links to galleries and exhibitions where some of his zoo can be seen... until then if you click the link through to matt's deviantART profile you can see a range of his sculptures and the site lets you view the pics nice and big :) xx
