Can anyone recommend a decent fast germinating grass seed please
How do you go about re-seeding patches of bare ground,
I know I sound a bit thick but never, ever had to grass anything before lol

    Thanks in advance

In Spring you can buy boxes of various types (explanation of the type is on the box).

Usually perennial rye grass is good for a general purpose lawn (kids, dogs, etc.).

You can buy in B&Q, Wilco etc. Don’t go too cheap tho as decent quality is worth paying for.

Prepare the area by creating a crumbly, fine surface and follow instructions.

Keep the area watered so germination takes place and protect from footfall and pigeons.

Because i'm useless at gardening and never do it right LOL......Homebase sell a fast growing grass seed, i sprinkled it on the lawn then a sprinkling of compost on top, once its good and long you can walk on it and compress the compost.
