    After my thread the other day about Alfred coat going all funny, I spoke to my friend who is a groomer and she told me it sounds like his top wire coat is dead and he need to be stripped.

    I am skint at the moment so didnt physically have the funds to pay a groomer god knows how much.

    So this morning after much googling and much video watching, we set about it.

    Before;

    Oh and during, he also learnt how to stand.. still :D

    Finished;

    And after a shower;

    note to self; dont strip a dog on your bed -.- This was AFTER I cleaned up;

    Now I'm getting nervous everytime he goes in the garden :p Want him to stay all clean and pretty!

    Thanks for looking :)

    Just had a quick google to see how to strip E,

    " Ay! crazy lady if you want to keep your hands STOP NOW" :eek:
    So I did :D
    Will try again when I have sausages available :)

    My fingers :eek: lol

    I didnt have any fancy stuff to hand and dont have the money either.. so literally plucked them, they were dead so didnt cause any pain, he happily layed there, i think having the clicker helped!

    And just constant praise!

    It was weird though as he hates being brushed.

    He looks amazing! How long did it take? Hand stripping always looks so great when it's done. Unfortunately Buffy had already been clipped when she came to us so now her coat is too soft to strip. :p

    He looks lovely. All nice and clean, I can understand you not wanting to let him out in all this muddy weather.
    I didn't envy you hand stripping it creases the fingers. I used to have to hand strip my Welsh springer.
