    Hi

My mum and dad are in Northumberland with my 1 year 5 month female cocker spaniel Lola for a week and are staying in a house they have stayed at previously.

Now Lola is usually impeccably behaved at night when she goes to bed and never barks unless she hears something or someone outside.

Since my mum and dad went up the Saturday just gone she has been barking till late in the morning and we are not sure why?

Like I said she has been to the same
House before and been absolutely fine at night time and not barked.

Is there a reason for this or not? Just wondered as it's just really strange.

    Thanks

How often does she go to this house?
When was the last time she went?
She may just be feeling unsettled and out of her usual routine.

But to be fair dogs senses are so much better than ours she could be hearing something your parents have no chance of knowing what ;)

Has she been spayed? If not could she be in season?

Yes she has been spayed and she doesn't go to this house often it's just that she never barks at night and it's strange that she is doing

Sorry but I don't think it's strange at all - she's in a different place from usual & there are probably different sounds outside (even from being there before)

You can usually work it out.
What direction is she barking in? Watch her and go and investigate.
    What time is this?
Does she want to go outside and 'get it'?
Is she then settled at other times?
