Do you need a vets recommendation as to the correct RC to feed your cat on??

I've posted previously about my 18yr old cat, Oscar, who has been in the wars lately when he suddenly collapsed and had fits. The vet doesn't know what caused them and - touch wood - he's not had a reoccurance of the fits.

Am told his weight is good (3.9k), he doesn't suffer from sensitive stomach or have renal problems.

He was being a bit fussy with food at the weekend so we went out and got a variety of cat food in order to tempt him. He absolutely hoovered down RC Instinctive and I'm now wondering whether to keep him on this. He usually eats Felix, Whiskas, Supermarket own brand, Sheba, Gourmet etc

    Any advice gratefully received

    Jayne
