Advice please

    I think you should go ahead. 9/10 years old is not OLD at all. In fact, 6 to 15 is a horses prime time since they've matured.

    But before you pop the saddle on and mount you should warm her up using a lunge line so she can get used to being controlled again.

    Usually horses that are turned out often and get to use the pasture are calmer than horses that are put into stalls and tiny paddocks.

    I think he/or she sound perfect for you.

    And don't feel old!! You're obviously a wonderful,YOUNG, rider. And the upside of the sport of riding is that it's here to stay;.:thumbup:
