Not sure if I should walk Alfie any more today.
Although he is not limping, his leg is obviously bothering him because when he stands still he keeps slightly lifting it off the ground and isn't completely standing on it.
If he was still on painkillers, we wouldn't have this sign, (the vet thought he should still be on them)
    So, what would you do?
Give him his little walks or get him to rest today?

Rest him for today, see how he is tomorrow.

My girl is in for an Xray on Tuesday Rona - I have a horrible feeling it may be her cruciate. :(

i would rest him today just to be on the safe side.

when max had his op every so often he would do this, and when i spoke to my vet about it they said it could be a habit he has got into lifting his leg when standing still.

    I do hope not :(

Alfie hasn't done it for a couple of weeks now so I don't think it is habit. He's only been exercising for 3 days so I'm hoping it just aches

Took him for his little walk this morning and have just been in the garden to assess him for his lunchtime walk. Not quite as good as Friday but not lifting it off the ground today, so may still do a tiny lunchtime stroll

Out of interest I phoned Sams mum Sam is the goldie that had same op as Alfie she said the same happened to Sam for a good few weeks after he had the all clear to exercise from the vet,she said she just took it day by day and if Sam was limping ect she cut down for a few days but still did a certain amount of exercise as she found it helped the leg and once Sam had started going out for walks he expected it:)

Sounds like he's doing OK again - mybe just ease up for a bit and build him back up again more slowly.
He's probably feeling it more as he hasn't used his muscles etc for a while.
I'm sure he'll continue to get stronger every day.
