Advice needed quickly pls

    Sooty is lying in the floor wanted me to stroke her belly.. When I stopedI noticed her back end was shaking is this normal?

    her back legs.

    can you get her up and walking around?

    No she is ready to drop her kittens.. Yes she can get up and walk x

    Really loath to judge, over the internet and without seeing her, whether its normal or not. She could be shaking/trembling as a result of being about to go into labour though I'd say none of my about-to-give-birth girls have ever done that.

    Trembling/shaking/twitching of the limbs can be due to eclampsia which can occur in late pregnancy or whilst a queen is feeding kittens. It's usually accompanied by other symptoms.

    If it continues and especially if she becomes uncoordinated in any way I'd say a phone call to the vet would definitely be in order.

    She now seems settled in her nesting box.. I think labour has started!!

    When they are pushing their back legs sort of shake so could be that...is she washing her bits?

    when i was in labour im pretty sure i was shaking all over, it's bloody scarry :D not sure that helps hehehe Hope everything goes well

    Good luck, remember count the placentas, have your vet ready to call and don't hesitate if you get concerned. Best of luck, hoping for a smooth, easy birth for mommy and healthy kittens :) xxx

    She has eaten 2 placentas it was gruesome to watch her chomping away!
