    Hi,
Can anyone recommend a really good dog behaviourist within the East Midlands area??

I really need help to train or to look at ways to change my dogs behavior as he's now quite aggressive towards some dogs and towards some people.

He is also very protective of his food and bowl when he is at his kennel.

    Can anyone help?
Also, he is a Jack Russell

    Thanks

    Narda

The problem with behaviourists is that it is an unregulated profession which basically means that my 90 year neighbour who has never owned a dog in her life could if she wished set herself up in business as a behaviourist.

Look for someone registered with COAPE or the APBC. Your vet may have to refer you, and it may be covered by your insurance. If you look them up online it will show who is on their registers in your area.
