Right this may be a long one...........

My baby sister (22yrs) whom I loved dearly, has two dogs, 2 year old staff (i think he is a cross) and a 1 year chi/jack russell.

She brought the staff when she was living with a guy they have since spilt and she kept leo (staff) and rented her own place, leo being young and left for about 6 hours a day trashed the house She got into another relationship and she and leo moved in with him, 6 months later they had a crazy idea to get another dog!!!! (I warned her not to, but again a young happy couple with no real experience with dogs!) Well against my warnings they still went ahead and got one, max (chi/jack).
Well.... 6 months later my sisters boyfriend broke the relationship to travel the world.......Hmmmmmm It broke my sisters heart So she moved back to my Mums (3 bed house with no garden) with Leo and Max, that was about 8 months ago.
I feel so so sorry for my mum, she walks the dogs at 6am and then again when she gets home from work about 7pm, my sister works funny shifts and walks the dogs about 11am.
They have ruined her home (pee stains everywhere, chewed things, etc..)
I will not go to my mums house with my children because Leo and Max are very excitable and would jump all over my kids and it would scare them plus I would not trust them, they have never bitten but they do show aggressive body signs and im not prepared to put myself or my children in danger.
Leo and max didnt go to puppy classes and are not very well socialized.
My sister has talked about getting the dogs rehomed as she wants to travel and live her life........ But she loves them so much and everytime the subject comes up she just breaks down in tears

I feel these dogs are very very very stressed and deserve a better home, But I also am aware that rehoming kennels are over whelmed with dogs like Leo and Max and I think they would really stuggle to find a home as they show aggressive behaviour. With retraining they would be wonderful dogs, she keeps saying that she wants them rehomed together but I don't think this would happen.

My poor mum is at her wits end, she does as much as she can for the dogs but she works very long hours, my sister loves these dogs so much but I think she is selfish by keeping them, they deserve so much more...........

Sadly sometimes love just isnt enough.

I think, maybe she should get them in classes, or get a trainner?? never too late also, how about a dog walker?? to take the stress off your mom?

Dog classes and socialisation are available for all dogs also 1-2-1 training may be suitable for them to start with.

If she decides to rehome she could keep the dogs until a home could be found - few rescues work like that.

I have suggested that on many times, but it seems to fall on deaf ears, my sister works till 9pm mon-sat and most classes are on week nights the dog walker would take them on until they are trained either. I would take them to classes but I alreadly take my dogs to ringcraft twice a week.

Private 1-2-1 lessons, consultations can be done at any time so in the morning before work.

I think you need to find put the details of some local trainers and make some enquiries - go to her with a plan.
If she's not prepared to do anything for them then I think she needs to rehome them.

I have suggested that also, she kinda said....... hmmm....errrrrr... yeah that might work..... but she did nothing about.

I think I will go with your idea, get a list, make enquiries, get prices, get a plan... then sit her down and say it's either this or you rehome them!!!

I even suggested taking them to agilty classes near me (sun mornings) that way they will have fun and so will she, it would burn tons of energy off
