Considering so many people seem to be anti bull breed, and I can understand why in practice because of the type of owners they attract (I mean, who'd want a mad German woman coming round all the time), but people don't seem to even accept in theory, that staffies and staffy crosses are just dogs, similar to other breeds, can be a bit full on but that's how they were bred to be:

For anyone wondering about the mad German woman bit, I'm referring to Terencesmum, who has been round to socialise her boy with the girls for about a year now, we still get together to do bits of training with him and I can honestly say he is the most sociable dog I know, possibly too sociable sometimes! Hence the extra training.

When I see theses bad stories about Staffies it makes me wonder where we would be if instead of the Staffie these owners had decided that a GSD, Rottie, my own breed or a few others fitted in with the image they want to give

Completely agree. I've come across some right plonkers with staffies, or staffy types, but I've met so many lovely ones as well, even rescues like the one featured in the clip. And despite all the mistreatment they remain as friendly and smiley a dog as you'd ever like to meet.

It was the turn of the GSD in the 1980s and Rotties in the 1990s. There have always been thugs and numpties out there, willing to use dogs for intimidation or supposed protection, and also clueless owners who just want a certain type of dog that makes them look "'ard".
