It is with deep regret, with tears in my eyes that I am the bearer of some very sad news.

Our dear friend Chillminx has passed away suddenly due to an aggressive cancer. I knew for sometime my lovely friend had been feeling unwell. Stef attended the hospital for tests only 2 weeks ago and so it was a huge shock for me to hear from her husband that she has now sadly passed away.

Stef helped so many people on here over the years with their cat’s ailments and diseases. I think you will all agree that she was an invaluable member of this forum and was revered by many of us. She had actually posted nearly 30,000 posts in her 12 years of being a member and not many were about her own cat’s issues. I, myself took on board her vast knowledge when my young cat was diagnosed with CKD last summer. She gave me the courage to stand up to my Vets and attain second opinions and her advice was always second to none, which I will be always so grateful for and will never forget. I sure gave my Vet ‘a run for his money’ with Stef’s informative questioning...

I wondered if any members would like to express their interest in us collectively sending a special floral tribute to honour Stef. If so please let me know. I have something in mind that I just know she would have loved.

Farewell to my ultimate ‘ Cat lady’ friend. I will miss her dearly and I know all of you who knew of Chillminx and were so grateful for all her advice, will too. I would like to think of her in Rainbow Bridge surrounded by all her past cats, especially her beloved Benji .

    RIP Chilliminx (Stef)

    X

This is such tragic news. I was so impressed by her kind manner and fountain of knowledge shared with so many members. She will be hugely missed by all on the forum.
What a dreadful shock , my condolences go to all who were close to her.
Do you think a donation to CPL would be in order?
