    Hi everyone,
Socks now has a friend her name is Pippa and she's 8 months old (we think)!! We adopted her from a place called Pawz For Thought and she's absolutely lovely, she's very shy though (we only got her today after weeks of waiting) so any tips on making her feel at home, I want to get her used to us before I start to bond her with Socks.

    Thanks, Danielle

Ps no photos yet but there will be some :)

Neutering them both if it has not been done already would be strongly advised.

Well done for getting them friends. You'll see just how much they enjoy company. ;) xxx

    And..

Just follow the advice Paws for Thought should have given you.

Don't overfuss her, let her explore her new home, give her time to settle, talk to her when you approach, feed her exactly as they did - ie same pellets and same quantity, with lots and lots of fresh hay daily.

A softly softly approach now will help win her trust.

Has she beeen vaccinated and spayed?

They have both been neutered and are up to date with vaccines so we're off to a good start!
She's had a good night and was very friendly this morning when I went to feed her, she's much braver then she was yesterday and seems very keen to see who the bunny in the other hutch is, and he seems very keen to meet her to, so im hoping when they're formally introduced :) they'll make good friends!!
Here is Pippa!! she came in the house last night for cuddles and made herself right at home :D

    She looks a bit like Buddy, except he's a selfie. :001_wub: :001_wub: :001_wub:

How long has it been since they were both neutered.

They were both neutered about 2 months ago pippa may have been neutered for longer.
Pippa and Socks have had a few dates now and seem to be getting on well, showing good signs, there was a little (ok a lot) of humping from Socks  but thats calmed down now, last night there was a little bit of mutual grooming from both, Socks keeps rolling over infront of her, and she keeps honking (is that the word?) at him, they will lie snuggled together for a long time although we're still in the neutral territory (the bath) part of bonding. So I think so far it's going well, let hope thing keep progressing like this!!

Oh, Buddy loves a good hump whenever he first sees a doe.:ihih: Totally normal. It does calm down after a while.

They sound like really good friends. :001_wub:
Some people on here would advise to do the bonding in one go, though. xx
