As some of you know our Luke ( 15 ) has recently passed all of his Microsoft Office Specialist exams, which has enabled him to be certified ( He's going on to do the master exams )

Anyway I was talking to one of the directors of the Nursery I work for today who is also CID for the Police, and was asking her about the need for ICT specialists in the force, she said that she could get him in on work experience no bother as they'd be crying out for people with Office Certification, and if he was good he'd be given the chance of an apprenticeship! Trouble is he'd have to go all the way to Camarthen as that's where Dyfed Powys Police ICT People are based :( 240 mile round trip, which is too far! She did suggest finding out where West Mercia ICT specialists are based which I may do, if it's Birmingham he can live with my Mum for a couple of weeks :D

Life's all about challenges and what sacrifices we're willing to make.

    Good luck to you though..

I believe I may have not worded it properly...it wasn't that beans were the main sustenance. It was the small space and the by-product of the beans that gave me.....eye watering empathy.

    :D

    And HEY!!!

    There's nothing wrong with grits...;)

You guys don't even have proper cigarettes...I can't imagine ever wanting to have sex again if I couldn't light up a Lambert & Butler afterwards!

Don't get me started on some of the "cuisine" I've seen posted on here.

Puddings aren't even sweet desserts there...they are usually meat...something or others...

    That is true. Very true.

But at least we can get our dates right.

Someone needs to tell you guys that the biggest ever American disaster did NOT happen on the 9th of November! When will you guys start getting your dates right? :D

November 9th happens every year on the 09/11/XXXX. ;) Like I said...Americans get confused about dates. :D

But there are some things I am thankful for.

One of them is Eggs Benedict. Bloody gorgeous.

Another is the Golden Girls. Bloody genius.

Oh, and the American film industry remakes Japanese horror REALLY well.

Our games programmers are still the best though. Bill Gates is American and gave the world Windows. David Jones is British and gave the world Grand Theft Auto! :D

We just stream lined dates to make more sense...kind of like our refusal to use the metric system .
Just another way to give a finger to the world, do our own thing and still have the most prosperous way of doing things.

    :D:D

Eh..I dunno about the game programmers thing. Canadian programmers make the best game I think I've played..Assassins Creed.

Give it a go if you haven't tried it.

You know...I got that game free with my ATI HD5770 and I haven't played it yet. Is it a bit like the old Hitman game? I enjoyed that. I also enjoyed the Assassin Missions in GTA 4 the most out the whole game.

Personally, I'm sitting here waiting until Portal 2 is released, but that's a few days away. You reckon I'll enjoy AC in the meantime? :)
