I've a new housemate...it's been an eventful afternoon.

A 9 week old GSD/Lab cross. For him, this is home number 3. That's a lot to be packed into such a short time :(

He's been passed around like a packet of sweets...cuteness factor quickly outweighed by crying, barking, biting, peeing and pooing  A lady I know has one of his littermates and she let me know that he was being moved on...AGAIN. One of the females will probably be getting moved on too :(. All the rest of the puppies seem to be living in a very short radius from one another. She loosely knows the "breeder" and has only seen the parent dogs in the park. She got to know about the puppies from a notice in her local shop.

And I know...BYB  but the wee fella is in need of a home, a steady home and I can't bear to think of him getting moved around any more. It's not his fault after all. Not the best way to go about bringing a puppy into your home, I am well aware...but bring him in I have.

He is a lovely wee boy...I've called him Bailey. Needs fed up a bit and womed/flead etc. Is booked in for first jab tomorrow morning and will get a good check over while we're there. Very whiney...which is understandable in the circumstances. He's had some scrambled egg and a wee bit chicken and ate very happily. When I asked what he was eating, I was told "whatever you're having"...so will ease him onto my food of choice.

    So...here's Bailey!

Good for you giving him a home - worst I know of was a Lab pup that I rehomed for Labrador Rescue South East & Central :

sold by breeder at 5 weeks to a man who bought her as a surprise present for his sick wife - she was not impressed - tried to get breeder to have her back - they refused. Area co-ordinator of LRSEC had her as an emergency - I rehomed her to a family and the dad became allergic to her - so I took her to mine - then found her a forever home who love her to bits. So she had 6 homes by the time she was 8 weeks old :(

She is now living a very happy life - but does have issues which the new family are very capable of dealing with.

Hope Bailey lives the rest of his life in happiness with you.

    Well done :D

Isn't that awful...to be shunted around like that after being dragged away from your mother :(

I'm sure he'll have a few wee issues with separation...that's glaringly apparent even now. But he sure as hell won't be turfed out because of it. He'll relax a bit more once he's realised it's safe to unpack his suitcase here.

Yes - it is awful - poor little mite but she is growing into a lovely girl and I will keep in touch with the family who adopted her forever.

I love the way you say 'its safe to unpack his suitcase here' - he probably will expect to be chucked out soon - will be lovely for him to know he is staying.

What do you mean 'going to be' - he already is :D :D :D
