Blake is looking for a new home. He is three years old next month. His one of my pups, Kali and Marty are his parents and Flynn his brother.
He has always lived with two children aged 8 & 10 and is a very docile boy. He gets on with other dogs and cats. He's a very healthy boy and had no health issues in his life so far. He is having to be rehomed because is mummy has discovered that she has an on going illness and can now no longer exercise him. They are truely heartbroken, as you can imagine and over the past years I have had many e mails on how much Blake is a huge part of their family life.

Blake will be coming back to me but I can't take him at the mo as Flynn is due a major op in 9 days time, so I can't take Blake back for another ten weeks or so, so he will be staying with his mummy until then.

We are looking for a home where he will get lots of exercise and attention as he is at present an only dog, having lived with his friend for the first 2 years of his life who then passed away with old age. A home with Malamute/Husky experience would be ideal as these can be difficult for inexperienced people, although I don't believe Blake to be we want to ensure that a new home will be permanent.
Although Blake is good with dogs on walks I would like him to go to a home with a female, as Mals are known to have same sex aggression issue's and although this may not apply to him I feel it's better to be safe than sorry, or he would be suited as an only dog, with someone who will be mostly at home to look after him as his mummy has worked from home.

If you would like any more info please pm me. Blake is entire at the mo but when he comes back to me he will be neutered as he is not to be used for breeding, which til now he has not.

    Blake.

    Update on Blake.

He is a very affectionate boy, gets on well with other dogs but is very wary of Border Collies as he was attacked by one as a baby. He has many doggy friends and is well socialised. He loves children and is very much a family dog, so would have to live in house. He is on the larger end of the Malamute scale, being around 58kgs at his last weighing and stands 71cm at the shoulder. Blake does not have any aggression issue's, either with food, toys or people. A very loving boy, the only drawback is he will wooooo when he see's people for the first time - but then all mally's do! :)
He also travels well and doesn't mind the car, may be a bit noisy at first but again a mally thing.

His mummy is more than happy for him to be viewed, with no decision being taken until much consideration has gone into it. She is also willing for him to be taken eventually on a trial basis, as he is her "little boy" and she just wants what's best for him. If he is accepted she will want to see him in his new home at some point in the near future.
She is always available for a chat any time and will answer any concerns/queries a potential owner may want to ask.

Blake was viewed yesterday but because of his size was considered too big. However he did walk well for the viewer (man) and has good recall in a secure area. He met a Husky and was fine, even with him coming into his home and shared sausages with him with no problems!

I will be putting some pics up of him taken yesterday as soon as his owner sends them to me, in order to show his size better.
