I'm something of a barbecue addict, so I've had two already this year and am planning number 3 for this weekend, since the weather looks fabulous.

If anyone is looking for a good barbecue btw, I got one of Sainsbury's beach bucket barbecues last summer and have nothing but good things to say about it.

Lots of holes for good air flow, easy to assemble and simple to clean. Burns really hot and has a nice big grilling area for lots of food. Also suitable for use on beaches, of course.

Mind you, I've no idea if they are selling it again this year, so perhaps my recommendation is pointless. Keep an eye out for it though if you are after one :)

I Love a really good BBQ - Jamie Oliver has some great recipes

Only thing that anoys me is when the OH says lets have a BBQ cooks the meat and says he did all the cooking - when it was me who made the marinade for the meat, made the salads, cooked the potatos, made a picher of drinks - set up the garden furniture, cleaned the BBQ, washed up and tidied away.
All he did was stand at the BBQ with a can of beer ;)

We love a BBQ!!! We had one last night too. It was very yummy. We went to Iceland and got a BBQ pack for £5. It had sausages, chicken wings, corn on the cob and ribs in. They were very nice. We also get the Tesco oacks too, they are great and their burgers are the best in there. They keep their shape dont shrivel up to nothing, cook very nicely and are very tasty!

This one wasn't all that pricey actually, and it was certainly worth the money! There are some pretty good deals on charcoal at the moment as well, so it is a good time to stock up :D

Totally with you there! The actual cooking is the smallest part of the BBQ experience. It is all the preparation that takes the time and makes all the difference to the experience. We try and split the work as much as possible, it's only fair :)

Good point! Best to work out what sort of barbecue you are getting before buying the fuel. Not much point getting bags of charcoal and then deciding you'd prefer gas ;)
