It is a shame - Woolworths are part of our heritage -mind you I do think someone will buy them out.

Internet shopping is the main cause of the demise of our high street stores.

I think soon, the only shops we will see in our high street are coffee shops, banks and you will have large out of town retail parks with huge Tescos and the other Supermarket giants.

What a shame....

You could buy Woolies for £1!!! Ok, you need a spare £360m to plug the financial hole but hey, Woolies always was cheap!!!

I used to go there every saturday with my best friend (when I was 13) buy a tonne of pic n mix and a bottle of coke and go to the park and we'd eat until we felt sick and try and do a full circle on the swings in the park!! Sugar rush!! Why did they ever ban all the fun E numbers??? spoilsports!!
Woolies will always hold a special place in my heart, and I do the lottery there every week so I'm gonna have to find somewhere elso to do it!!!

Makes you sick doesn't it?....why should you have to go chasing after money youv'e earned and worked for. Im glad things turned out ok for you and your hubby. Looks like things are going downhill fast though, it's hard to feel secure about anything in these times. :(
