what do i miss, hmmm good one

I miss the music from the 80's i have so many memories of when i was young sitting in my room with my really cool record player listening to Now Thats What I Call Music 1 :)

i miss the open fire we had in my mums house and my grandma's home made soup on winter days,

I do agree with you some kids of today are ickle buggers, i know i am very strict with my children, but my husband also complains and often reminds me its differant nowdays! although that does not stop me grounding them for a month :D

That's what I miss manners, people used to say please and thank you and consider what effect their actions might have on others, and of course an open fire and deep snow preventing me from going to school. JAMBOREE BAGS!! I bet no one is old enough to remember those costing 3d three old pennies to the younger generation.

WHAM BARS, hmmm, dont remember them. the only WHAM i remember is GEORGE MICHAEL, hee hee hee, i miss playing out, when i was a kid we used to make go carts, ( outa old pram wheels and bits of wood,) and all the kids in the street used to have a race, as we lived on a hill ,this was great fun, we had carpet nailed to our go cart so it was more comfy, and rope to steer the front wheels, we had lots of crashes, wheels flying off half way down the hill, but it was fun, we used to play run outs to, again all the kids in the street, kids just seem to sit and play computers, playstations or watch telly now, BRING BACK THE OLD DAYS, :):)

I'm only 28 and I cringe at myself sounding older and older by the day but I cant believe the youth of today!!! It's all PS3's, knives and guns - I remember the days when If we wanted to entertain ourselves we would play a big game of bulldog, or football in the outdoors and if we wanted to hurt someone we would have to use our fists - we never had such luxuarys as knives and guns to do the job!!! - just kidding - sorry bad taste I know!

Firstly welcome to the forum!

you have posted in the "general chat" area, which as said is for non related other chat!

So what's wrong with swapping childhood memories:confused:

I don't get what your problem is:confused:

Maybe the thought of 8 weeks of sleepless night has got to you already

My children love to hear about the differences of generations, most of all they ask about all the snow fun I had as a child ie sledging, they would love to do that but we havent had a good snow fall since they have been around, its a task making a snowman these days and when we do there is only enough snow for a little one and it doesnt last long.:)
