Had to take my cat to the vet twice yest. First was followup for allergies got her home after an hour she had hair loss on side of her face looked like a fight as she had been kept in.

Then took her to private vets straight after, he thought it could be a wound precribed antiseptic. But he thought it was strange as there was no cut

Kept an eye on her, thought she was OK suddenly noticed she had lost more hair the other side. I've checked her over today alot but only just about over an hour noticed, pdsa won't see her as they say it's not an emergency. I feel sick to my stomach like I'm a bad pet owner. Why didn't I see it sooner, what is wrong with me......shes on high levels of steroids so the pdsa emergency vet said it probably that. They might see me tomorrow if I ring at 9am but at vets discretion. She was not pleasant said I'd had all day to call, but she seemed fine until I suddenly noticed more hair loss. She said well no cat has died from a skin condition we deal with real emergencies like cats being knocked down, that's fair enough though. I do get that.

Thanks for responding, my post was abit illiterate as I was typing whilst distressed.

She has seen the vet today and has penicillin and more antiseptic wash, the vet thinks it's bacterial, also she's seeing a skin specialist a week tomorrow.

Her skin is red scabby and v patchy she's losing more hair all over her face still, just glad it's not ringworm, as I Googled it last night and worked myself up even more.

Thanks for the response, I felt alone with it, still do, I'm not v well and her not being well just adds to it.

When you are feeling unwell it's hard to deal with the added stress. Hopefully successful treatment can be found for your poorly kitty.
